Thaddeus Williams Obituary

Thaddeus Williams

Time To Be Born

On June 6th, 1960, on the Island of Abaco Bahamas, in the settlement of Lake City a bouncing baby boy was born to the proud parents Stanley and Hilda Williams. He was their sixth child and was christened Thaddeus Charles Williams, affectionately known to family and friends as Ted.

A Time To Live

He received his early education at Martin Town primary School, and continued to Hawksbill Senior High School where he graduated in 1978. Ted had a great love for sports, and he played baseball representing Grand Bahama in various national tournaments throughout the Bahamas.

Before emigrating to the United States, he became the proud father of a beautiful baby girl Tanika Williams. Shortly after moving to the United States he settled in the Fort Lauderdale area. There he met and married the late Ms. Beverly Parks –Williams. To this union was born three beautiful daughters Tacora Williams-Floyd, Felisha and Shanell Williams.

He later met and married Ms. Orlanda Burrows-Williams and they made their home in the city of Hollywood, Florida.

He was a dedicated Christian who readily expressed his love for the Lord and a member of Koinonia Worship Center, for more than forty years, where he also served as an Usher.

He was a dedicated employee of the City of Fort Lauderdale for the better part of three decades. He was also an avid sports fan, and he had a great love for his Pittsburgh Steelers and the Miami Hurricanes.

A Time To Die

On April 17th, 2023, Ted suffered Cardiac Arrest in his sleep. As a result of the valiant efforts of his wife Orlanda and the first responders from the city of Hollywood his heartbeat was restored, and he was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital where he transitioned to his eternal rest on April 23rd, 2023
