Freddie Lee Corley

Freddie Lee Corley, a beloved father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on May 13, 2023, at the age of 81. Born on June 1, 1941, in Metter, Georgia, Freddie was the son of Walter and Louella Corley. He was raised by his stepfather, Luther Gordon, and was educated in the Candler County School System.

Freddie accepted Christ at an early age. He worked for Winn Dixie for 35 years before retiring and then started his own lawn care business.  Freddie had a kind and gentle spirit, and he always put others before himself. He loved spending time with his family and friends, and he had a special place in his heart for his grandchildren.

On May 13, 2023, Freddie entered into eternal rest. Freddie was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Louella Corley, as well as his siblings, Walter Corley, Robert Corley, Jessie Ray Corley, Lee Corley, Milton Gordon, Luther Gordon, Louise Booker, Mary Henry, and Betty Martin.

Freddie is survived by his children, Jeronica Corley, Demetrius Corley (Sebethany), Ann Cubitt, and Bernard Roberson (Sevi). He is also survived by his bonus children, Renee Howard and Melvin Harris; his sister, Bernease Raymond and sister-in-love Emma Corley. His grandchildren, Ronkel, Clinton, Darien, Christian, Aaron, Maya, Emerald, Samiyah, and Shakur, will carry on his legacy of kindness and love. A host of nieces, nephews, great-grandchildren, family, and friends all share in this loss and Freddie will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
