Terrecitta Beck

Terrecitta "Terry" Lamonda Richardson Beck, a virtuous woman with a big heart and a jubilant spirit, was born June 25, 1972, in Miami, FL to Theresa Richardson. Terry, as she was known, lived in the same neighborhood her entire life. She received her formal education in the Miami Dade Public School System and is a graduate of Miami Central High School's class of 1990. It was at Miami Central High School where she discovered her passion for music (more importantly singing), literature (both reading and writing) and her favorite sport of softball, which she played for many years. After graduating, Terry met the love of her life William "Billy" Beck, with whom she shared 31 beautiful years. On December 4, 2001, they welcomed their beautiful baby girl, Melody "Mel Mel" Alysia Beck, who was born with many challenges and disabilities. Up to the day when their beloved Mel Mel gained her wings on March 2, 2017, Terry rose to the occasion of becoming not only a wife and mother, but a nurse, advocate, entertainer, and protector. Terricitta Lamonda Beck leaves behind a legacy of love. She is the epitome of the word "Love". She dedicated her entire life to caring for others; be it taking care of the elderly, disabled or her family and friends, Terry did it unapologetically and with a sincere heart. She has been the pillar of strength and resilience in her family for over five decades. Her love is comparable to an intense wildfire spreading throughout a forest, engulfing us in her flames of love and leaving her indelible mark on us forever. It was intense and one of the purest forms of unconditional love. If you were ever lucky enough to experience it, you will never forget it. Terry was your biggest supporter and toughest critic at the same time. She saw your fullest potential even when you didn't and she was going to do everything within her will for you to see it, believe it and achieve it. Even when faced with many hardships, Terry would rise. Nothing she'd encounter in life could derail her from being the phenomenal woman she was. Her absence will be felt, as she is cherished by: Her Husband William "Billy" Beck; Her Parents Theresa Richardson Small, Otis & Marjorie Addison; Her Grandmother, Dorothy Richardson; Her Children Melody Alysia Beck, Dorreal and Brenda Davis; Her Granddaughter Sommer Davis; Her Uncles Wendell Wayne Richardson and Ulysses Richardson; Her Aunts Ollie Mae Richardson, Debbie Richardson, and Bonita Black; Her Brothers Clarence Days, Derek Pleasure, Otis "Jim" Addison Jr and Leon Frager; Her Sisters Vermonica Haynes, Miacarla and Kimberly Beck, Stacy Wilkins; Her Honorary Sisters Keisha Simmons, Charlyne Mickler, Quinta Castro, Olivia Kindred, Vermonica Talavera, and Tonya Paddyfoot; Her Cousins Ivory and Ada Manning, Tony Days, Tangela Days, and Sheria Manning; Her Godchildren Seriah Branch, Charles Branch, Faith Branch, Tonia and Demia Williamson, Andrew Chin, Jersey Joseph, and Alexsis Perkins; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Though she may be gone, her legacy will continue to live on in the lives of us all. Please leave the family a note of condolence, order a floral tribute, or light a candle of remembrance.
