Ericka M. Reid

On February 12th, 1941, Ericka May Reid better known as "Miss Cherry" was born in Kingston, Jamaica to the proud parents, Mavis Thomas (Deceased) and Robert "Mr Busha" Reid (Deceased) Cherry was an entrepreneur in the Downtown Market and grew up on Region Street in Downtown Jamaica. In the middle of the 1960s, she moved to Nassau, Bahamas, where she worked at the Holiday Inn. She moved to Miami, Florida, in the middle of the 1970s, where she worked and later retired from Miami Dade County. Since Miss Cherry had a good heart and enjoyed helping those in need, everyone knew she would give you a place to live, lots of affection, and a plate of food. Her door was never closed. She loved going to casinos and spent every Saturday at the Opa Locka flea. On June 27th,2023 God said to Miss Cherry, "My child it is time for me to take care of you. Miss Cherry leaves to cherish her memories her siblings: Patricia Patrick, Devon "Starie" Wilson, Robert "Barry" Reid, Lorain Reid, Patsy Reid Children: Pauline Beckford, Patsy Beckford, Windell "Dimple" Beckford, Deon Beckford (Peter), Shawn Beckford, Shaney Beckford, Jackie Beckford, Joy Clark Newkirk (Duane), Kevin Clark, Monique Reid, Tickisha Reid Grandchildren: Courtney Linder, Corey Linder, Kisha Beckford, Chris Perrier, Sherry Perrier, Danieka Lawrence, Cutchie Powell, Ziggy Smith, Marley Smith, Bob Smith, Reggie Smith, Camille Beckford, Tamara Beckford, Nikki Beckford, Tanisha Beckford, Kamoy Beckford, Carmaley Sawyer, Chantae "Candy" Mapp, Lisa Crosdale, Keon Brown, Pipi Aiken, Buju Clarke, Beanie Clarke, Bounty Clarke, KeShaun Clarke, Charlie Beckford, Kevalexa Mighty, Jhani Mighty, Jackie Beckford, Jasenia Beckford, Jared Beckford, Angel Beckford, Craig Cannon, Jordan Clark, Kayla Clark, Chris Cresfield, Cairo Israel And a Host of Great and Great Great Grand kids and other family and friends. She will meet her Siblings: Janet Reid, David Reid, Joseph Reid, Percy Reid, Basil "Plummy" Reid, Alexander "Poppa" Reid Children: Devon Beckford, Basil Beckford, Alexander Clark and Grandchildren: Raymond "Screw" Hamilton, Fitzroy "Peewee" Hamilton, Ricardo "Puggy" Beckford at the pearly gates of heaven, as they preceded her in death. Please leave the family a note of condolence, order a floral tribute, or light a candle of remembrance.
