Tamira Lanire Russell

Tamira L. Russell was born September 10, 1971 in Pahokee, Florida, to George Jackson and Lois Crumpton. She received her formal education at Dillard High School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She furthered her education at Broward Community College in Fort Lauderdale, FL and received her child-care license. She married Anthony Andrew Russell Jr. in 1994. They had a beautiful blended family, in which they raised 5 children together. She was the owner of an at home child-care program and cared for many children throughout her years. She was a tutor at the Russell Life Skills & Reading Foundation. She was very active in the community attending Title 1 meetings, being team mom for little league football teams, and donating to the less fortunate. She embodied compassion, empathy, unrivaled loyalty to her friends and family and a sweet sensational spirit. She was a light to all who came in contact with her and had a quiet desire to see all children thrive. She was a loving and doting mother. She made sure her children had as many opportunities and experiences throughout their childhood that lasted a lifetime. In her leisure time she enjoyed fishing, thrifting, playing cards, along with enjoying her children and grandchildren. Tamira Russell departed this life on December 12, 2022. She was preceded in death by her Brother Willy Walker and her first son Robert Jones. She leaves to cherish her memory: her mother, Lois Crumpton, her father, George Jackson, her sister, Mariah Smith, her daughters Janay Masses, Tiera Russell, Toniecia Russell, her son Anthony Russell and her grandchildren, Ta'leah Edwards and Xavier Williams Jr. Please leave the family a note of condolence, light a candle of remembrance, or order a floral remembrance piece.
