Luke Honore'

Luke Honore' 71, was born June 10, 1952 in Dominica, West Indies. He was a God-fearing man, a doting father, hard worker, caregiver, provider, friend and husband. He was jovial, fun loving, playful, and stern. He was short tempered and told it as it was but it was always from a good place. He enjoyed gardening and growing his own provisions, fishing, lover of music, and exceptional cook. As a father he taught is children the early principals of life, hard work, independence, life skills, and stressed the importance of education. His goal was to give his children a better life and in 1992 the sacrifice was made to move his family to America. He always told his children "Don't f**k it up". He instilled the importance of faith with family morning devotions, nightly devotions, weekly bible study, and church on Sunday. In addition to is faith he was fun. He played card games, board games, dominoes, taught them how to swim, drive, fish, play cricket, and fix things. He was the man of the house and ensured the bills were paid, but it was not beneath him to cook and clean for his family. He did whatever he had to do to support his family and over the years held many jobs to do just that. As the world began to change, he made sure to keep up with it. He took computer courses and often times changed career industries from carpentry, to retail, to plumbing, and nursing. He was compassionate and ensured his sister and his mother was cared for in their time of need. When he retired back to his beloved home country of Dominica, he found his purpose by working with children in the welfare system. He treated these children like they were his own. He cooked for them, cleaned after them, taught them, played with them, and provided discipline when necessary. He was sadly called home to our father on June 25, 2023. Luke Honore is survived by his wife Paulina Honore'. Children: Nichole Honore', Beverly Honore', Jennifer Philpot, Rick Honore', Pauline Honore' and Dorian Honore'. Daughter in Law Kim Honore', and Son in Law Danny Philpot. Grand children: Katrelle Honore', Kaydian Honore', Chayse Honore', Mason Holmes, Addison Honore', Dylan Holmes, and Cesar Honore'. Siblings: Alice Royer, Emerly Ettienne, Ann Honore', Charmaine Massicot, Wallace St. John, Angus Honore', Alick Honore' and Atherton Honore'. Brothers In Law Clarence Etteinne and Jones Royer. Sisters in Law, Antonia Honore', Irmin Honore, and Carol Honore'. His aunt Hellen Honore' (bka) Zei. Neumerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.
