Leon Tommy Johnson Sr

Leon Tommy Johnson was born on April 6, 1945, in Tallahassee, Florida, to the late Earl and Della Johnson. Leon was the baby of seventeen children. His wife Karen Johnson and his two sons, Ronald and Edwin Johnson along with thirteen of his siblings all proceeded him in death. Leon grew up in Tallahassee, Florida and attended Leon County Public Schools. In his mid-20's; he later migrated to Miami, Florida. He worked for Margulies Collection for 50 years. Leon gave his life to Christ at an early age. He had a heart of gold; always willing to help anyone in need. His demeanor was witty and comical; he loved to laugh. His charming smile captured many. Leon was a hard worker and instilled hard work and responsibility in each of his children. He was one of the pillars of the "Johnson" family and was respected by all. He was called "Uncle Leon" by both family members and friends. Attending and hosting family gatherings was what he enjoyed the most. Leon was a collector of sport and antique cars; he often visited car shows throughout the state of Florida. He was also part owner of the legendary Inferno Night Club. On Sunday, July 9, 2023, a loving God released his body and soul from the cares of his life and called him home to eternal rest. He leaves to cherish is memories and legacy to: four sons- Wayne Johnson, Nakia Reddick, Leon Johnson Jr., Mark Strong (Yvonne); six daughters -Nancy Johnson, Sabrina Johnson, Tewaña Reddick-Latouche (Preston), Shanitra Williams, Nykea Johnson, and Chankevia Johnson (Roschelle); two stepsons -Jakee and Bernard Hodor; twenty-one grandchildren- Tykwanzia, Tyesha, Daria, Lakeisha, Eboni, Kenneth, Chanel, Lakeisha, Tamaria, Javari, Kayden, Devonte, Diamond, Brandon, Brianna, Amir, Alana, Shaniyah, DaMarcus, Mark and Melvious; one sister Nancy Thomas; two brothers - Lawrence and Henry Johnson; twenty-two great grandchildren; a good friend and boss- Martin Margulies; a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, extended family and special friends.
