James Edward Boswell

On Friday, February 7th, 1966 James Edward Boswell entered the world to the parentage of the late Jerome Keith Boswell and the late Love Joyce Boswell. "Jimmy" as he was called was a shy, but playful child. James was educated in the Miami-Dade County School system. He attended Poinciana Elementary, North Miami Jr. High and North Miami Senior High. While at North Jr. High, James was active in band, playing the saxophone and wrestling. He was a very smart student really excelling in math. It was at MNSH that James flourished. He was active on the Varsity Football Team and Wrestling, where he was nicknamed "Teddy bear". After graduating in 1984, James attended Northwestern University in Illinois playing football. At the end of his sophomore year, James returned home. The cold weather and matters at home caused James to come home. He worked several jobs eventually working for UPS. In 1987 he met Carla Barner and dated for 4 years. In 1991 they were married. Their union produced two beautiful children. A daughter Raven and a son James Jr. The marriage also gave James a bonus daughter Kanishia. James and Carla were married for 23 years. James was a free spirit and loved to travel. His newest passion was his Harley. At one time he was a dedicated member of the Rough Soul Ryderz Motorcycle Club, traveling to gatherings around the country. In the early morning hours of Friday February 17th, James was involved in a motorcycle accident. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries. James was predeceased by his father, mother and older brother Jerome Keith Jr. In his passing, James leaves to cherish his memory and life, his daughter Raven Boswell, his son James "Jay" Jr. , his bonus daughter Kanishia (George) Hill. Grandchildren Deja Hill, Samir "Kenan" Hill, Layla Hill, Lola Burnside and Ava Burnside; His sister Sharon Boswell Pinder; brother-in-law Kerry Pinder; neice Whitney Pinder and nephew Kerry J. Jr. His paternal aunts and uncles, Ann Boswell of New York; Margaret Boswell Hardin of Montgomery Al; Uncle Willie James Boswell (Cora); Johnny Boswell (Juanita) His maternal aunt Deloris Johnson. Childhood best friend Alonzo Odom and close friend Arlene Hood. Please leave the family a note of condolence, order a floral tribute, or light a candle of remembrance.
