Michael Lamar Mills, Jr.

On December 31, 2004, a beautiful baby boy named Michael Lamar Mills Jr. also known as “Pop” to family and friends was born to April Wilkerson and Michael Mills Sr.

He attended Coral Glades High school along with his three sisters; so being the youngest, we all know he was extremely popular. When he was not studying or in school he spent hours working at Huey Magoo’s. He was loved for his big personality and always in a positive state of mind which is one of the reasons he was called “Smiley”. His smile lit up any room. He was well known to meditate, do yoga, spend time at the beach on his days off and was definitely into lifting weights on his down time. Michael was a hard worker at whatever he chose to do and he loved his family with every bone in his body. Anyone that knew Michael grew to love Michael, he was just that special to us and anyone he would be around. When you needed him he was there, Michael was a jokester, fun to be around and definitely the best person to try a restaurant with. He loved to cook and would call himself “Chef Mike” but was always proud of whatever he made. His favorite words if something was good would be “It’s valid” or if he didn’t’ like something he would say “Bruh”. He was full of life and energy was always on go. Just a complete joy for 18 years for his amazing life. Smart, Handsome, funny and loved to dance is what we will always remember. He will forever be on our minds and in our hearts. Never forgotten.

Michael leaves to cherish his loving memories: Mother- April Wilkerson (Rod Hamilton); Father-Michael Mills Sr.; Sisters- Myesha Mills, Myshea Mills, Mykaea Mills and Carrie Summerset; Grandmothers-Shirley Gilmore (Ned), Vanessa Gardner; Grandfather- Arnold Wilkerson and a Host of Aunts, Uncles, Nephews, Cousins and loving friends.

He is preceded in death by Great grandmothers- Alvenia Prescott, Clara Graham; Grandfather- Calvin Black; and Great Grandfather- Harold Graham
